An excellent hotel if you plan to visit Barcelona for 2 or 3 days. A near infinite number of restaurants, bars, and shops are just around the corner. You can walk to La Rambla and the Gaudi houses Casa Battlo and Casa Mila.
The rooms are tidy and equipped with a number of useful amenities. Do not expect spacious rooms, though (at least mine was small, room 209).
I usually have problems with loud ACs while sleeping, but this hotel's AC was the most silent I've known ;). It's also very mild and doesn't blast cool air straight at your face. The walls, however, are thin. You do hear people in the hallways and next door. So if you're a light sleeper (as I am), better bring ear plugs to cancel out noise during the night.
Also, there is a church nearby whose bells toll every 15 minutes - all through the night.
The staff was ALWAYS very friendly and helpful. All of them speak excellent English and made me instantly welcome.
