We stayed at the Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Airport location from July 31 to August 5, 2024. It was one of the worst hotel stays we have ever had. We arrived for our check-in at 3 pm, and the room was not ready. We waited and returned at 3:15 pm and the room was “ready”. When we got up to the room, we discovered the room was not cleaned. There were blood stains and other yellow stains on the pillow cases and the bed sheet. There were black specs and food crumbs through the sheets and the comforter. There was dirt and debris on the floors.
We went down to the front desk, who contacted the hospitality manager. The hospitality manager came up herself with a different set of bed sheets and confirmed the dirty state of the room. She changes the sheets herself (which showed a ripped and stained mattress cover underneath) and the replacement sheets and pillow cases had yellow stains on them, that we didn’t see until after she left. She took the comforter, stating she would likely need to wash it and bring it back. She stated that the previous management “left a lot of bills” and stated “the new team is working to get everything back in order.” We would find out that the old management was gone last December, so in 9 months they haven’t accomplished much.
No pool, which listing says it has. Whole hotel is run down and broken down. No hot water. Dirty everywhere.
