Love staying at the Hilton Galveston. Tommy, a valet, was wonderful and did a superb job in helping us with our luggage and getting our car.
Two issues: (1)was unable to connect computers from our room. Was able to connect at the front dest but not in our room. Frustrating. (2) the valets , Grayson and Tommy, were absolutely superb and did a wonderful job. My issue is that during this stay there was only one valet on duty and during busy checkin/checkout times he would be taking luggage to a room or getting luggage from a room, which takes time but leaves the valet station unattended. Paying $26 per day, certainly expect the hotel to have more than one valet on duty during known busy times. Having only one valet on duty is not fair to the valets or the guests paying $26 per day. This is a management problem and not an issue with the valets, who were working as hard as they could to cover two venues: parking/getting cars and delivering/picking up luggage for guests.
