Stayed two nights at this property, as I attended business in Mombasa, From a dreadful sitting check-in where one person took my passport and another one came after 20 minutes and told me that I am way too early and that rooms are only ready after 2pm (although I was informed before that check.in is at noon), ok 90 minutes to kill, no wifi code given, so I had to go to the restaurant to eat. Their service and food was excellent, but that was the only highlight. Supposedly and upgraded room close to the pool I finally got after 2pm and the interior (apart of the new bathroom, which had the flaw the shower door didnt open properly and I got stuck twice in the shower) was dull and dreary. Old furniture, small TV, no minibar and a moskito net that had huge holes and was hardly operational. The mattress was worn and soft like pudding, a decent sleep impossible. At the included dinner I asked for a place outside but was told thiese are "only for families". Half the service staff was obnixious to rude, the other half was decent. Food was nothing to write home about. As there were perhaps 10 Western foreigners staying there, but 98% Kenyans and other Africans, I felt highly unwelcome, as the rich locals were clearly the focus at that weekend. I definitely wouldn´t stay here thought the resort is highly overpriced, the pool area dirty and the beach basicall not existing due to the low tide.
