Overall, a very good and above all practical city hotel, although not a 4* standard in all respects.
The location is very good, just off Leadenhall Market and close to London Bridge. Several tube stations nearby. Supermarket, cafes etc close by.
A family of 4 we had a suite which was quite large for London (>30m²) but still within budget. The facilities were very decent (fridge, 2 TVs, kitchenette, desk), but the furnishings look a bit old-fashioned and used, especially the bathroom. The room is rather noisy, but the guests were very quiet, so it was not a problem.
We liked the cleanliness of the room very much, less good was that the room was only done after 3 days without any information if and when it would be cleaned. The reception works in teams of 2 who are always friendly and approachable and who also make sure that a free tea/coffee service is always offered in the lobby. There is also free water on the floors, including bottles for refilling.
Conclusion: we were satisfied and would be happy to come back.
