Not so great
I can’t see why this place has an 8+ star rating. It’s not quiet at all. The heating element was very loud andevery time I got out of bed. The base of the bed squeaked like metal. Basically an overrated motel. The waffle maker needs to be fixed and the breakfast Was less than average.

Great Staff.
I rated the property a 4 overall because of the friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms. The motel is on a busy street and early evening it was quite loud, but we didn't notice it much at night. The area around is okay with a few homeless nearby under a bridge. We walked to a nearby restaurant but would not do it when it got darker. This is on the outskirts of the official Old Town area.

My feeling was that it was on a very busy road Central Blvd and traffic noisy until 11 or so, but did get quiet finally. Place was clean, room was large and nice. Staff running the place went out of their way to be helpful. I would stay there again.

Enjoyed a really nice stay here with my children and sisters. We found a room that slept six comfortably. They offered free breakfast in the morning and we're super nice on check-in. It's an older facility but it was clean and quirky. We will definitely stay here again when we travel through again.

Clean budget motel
We chose this motel because of the high rating and the low price, but alas it turned out to be a "too good to be true" situation. I respect the owners and staff for offering a budget motel that is clean. But it was not an 8.4, more like a 6.0. Old, tired, worn out, and noisy! Our room faced the main street outside, and the traffic noise was very loud.

The only good thing was that the room was clean. The TV wouldn't turn on. The room was hopelessly outdated. Very noisy.

Not a great or even good choice. The area around the motel was sketchy at best. The staff were friendly but that cannot overcome the rundown conditions of the property.

This place is underrated, the rooms upstairs do still have carpet but it is for sound proofing for the lower floors that have lament wood. The rooms are clean, nice bigger refrigerator and microwave. Staff was very friendly and very helpful, the parking area has so many cool statues and is very colorful and unique. The pool was clean but there was some damage to the ceiling that needed to be addressed, the electricity went out in the middle of the night for a while, but that wasn't their fault. The bad is that the racing out side is very loud again not their fault just the area. It was a little sketchy at night with folks walking around but that is Albuquerque in general and they didn't walk into the hotel parking lot. Overall very pleased to have stayed there and would stay there again.

Not a bad price for a place as I was passing through town. It was a little rundown but everything I needed worked, so I'm good with that.

Pro: 1. has character / vibe. Interesting decor around parking lot 2. Friendly staff 3. Didn't find live bugs in room 4. Clean in areas that mattered (bed sheets, towels) 5. Relatively affordable compared to other hotels on area 6. Parking area seems safe (walked up) Cons 1. Furniture in state of disrepair 2. Could be cleaner (stains on walls, found a dead hornet by windows. Breakfast room area especially) 3. Lots of bugs and mosquitos outside in parking lot (didn't find any in room) Overall it's ok for spending a night safely in ABQ.
