The hotel seems to have been nice an fancy in the past, but the maintenance and renovations did not keep up with the hotel’s needs. The hotel needs a major face lift.
When I first checked in, I was given a filthy smoked up room. Even the lights did not turn on. I was then given given another room that was also dirty and had many things broken in it. That process to get me to my room took more than 1hr. I went to bed that morning past 3 am due to not having a room ready. I had to accept that second room as I needed to sleep after long day and travels. The following day I asked for another room, I was given a free upgrade to a better room. It was better than the first two, but still needs lots of work. The hotel has the potential to be a great one, but its managed should be willing to spend some $$$ on Reno. Until then, I do not recommend anyone to go there. I don’t know how this hotel is affiliated with Doubletree and Hilton with its current state.
