Good hotel in a lively, great location. We stayed there for 11 nights (half board) and were generally very satisfied. Walk to the beach just under 10 minutes. You can get towels and an umbrella at the hotel.
The guys at the pool are extremely polite and attentive - that's really 5 stars. As other reviews say that there is never any sun at the pool - I can say that at least in November the pool is in the sun from around 1pm until sunset. Of course, you can't expect 13 hours of sun between high-rise buildings.
You can really have a good time in this hotel, there are definitely better 5 star hotels but certainly worse. Price-performance ratio is good compared to other hotels.
The following things could be improved:
- Dinner starts a bit too late at 19:00 - especially with children
- Prices for drinks at dinner are not expensive, but an absolute cheek. A bottled beer (not even really cold) costs 42 AED (about 11 euros), draught beer is even more expensive. This is really no fun!
- Room service could definitely be better, the room was cleaned regularly but not too thoroughly. There was always dirt left lying around! Too bad that's not 5 stars
- The reception could take a little more time for the guest and answer questions more specifically and in more detail
- The hotel should be renovated in one place or another in the next 1-2 years. For example, the toilets by the pool or the beds and carpets in the rooms
