What a hidden gem! This hotel is inconspicuous from the outside and fits in beautifully with the canal side view. The inside has a fun, comic vibe to it. It could look cheap but it’s beautifully executed with various accents around the hotel and in the rooms. The hotel itself is immaculate and the black and white decor adds to the slick, clean look overall. My room had a patio area which was a nice addition, I’m sure I would have especially appreciated this in the summer months. The bathroom was spacious with a powerful shower and good quality toiletries. The shower was spacious. The soft, black slippers and glass bottled water in the room were a lovely touch. The tea and coffee facilities were well stocked and easy to use. The tv was a really good size, easy to use and has both bbc and itv for any UK homebodies. The hotel is in a great location, quiet enough that you barely tell anyone else is staying in the hotel, let alone that it’s in a popular area but a short walk away from all the key places you will want to see. The breakfast is well worth the money. I had a freshly made omelette which was delicious. Finally, the staff really make this hotel. They are helpful and informative without feeling like this is the millionth time today that they have given out information. They tailored information to individual enquiries and had a genuine interest in talking to you. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly and would definitely stay here if I return to Ghent.
