Having stayed at several Thon hotels in Oslo during the last years, they are usually unspectacular in a good way - so is this one. Having an apartment is nice, it contains a microwave oven, fridge, water kettle and ironing equipment. However, the apartments are located in a separate building. There's a huge breakfast choice (english, continental, some norwegian specials like brunost and a selection of fish). The restaurant is open in the evening. The prices seem to be fair compared to other restaurants, though I haven't checked it out.
The whole building was freshly renovated. The rooms were perfectly clean and whenever there was a problem, the friendly staff was willing and able to solve it. Some nice features in the bathrooms are dimmable LED lights and in-floor heating.
The extremely soft beds used in Norway (I've found them in all hotels so far) are a matter of taste, but the large blankets are great even for lengthy people.
