In our multiple trips to Savannah and this being the third hotel in our accommodations of said trip, it was by far the least favorable. We would not choose this hotel again.
Valet staff was great, front desk was friendly and check in was pretty quick. We didn’t utilize the on-site restaurant, bar (2 “free” drinks per person per night included in the $25 per night resort fee), or little market so I cannot speak on those options/service.
The elevators were slow which is understandable in an older building, however the room was cleanish (as far as bedding, towels, surfaces) overall however the in room coffee maker (Keurig) looked rough, the tray it sat on was well worn as was the tray the ice bucket and cups sat on (wood tray with water damage etc). The nightstand lamp was rusted and that leads me to the obvious - the rooms HVAC was less than stellar , resulting in visible mildew/mold and the damp hard flooring thru out the stay. The unit was on low fan and set to 61 degrees when we entered the room initially tho the current room temp was 68. It was quite cold so we changed the settings to 70 and auto for the fan. This was not a good move. We didn’t sleep well at all the first night due to stale, damp air. The next morning (after having multiple times dropping the ac temp down during the night to kick the unit on) we switched the fan more to Low again (instead of auto) and kept the thermostat at 69. Mildew on wall and ceilings sealed the “do not stay” spot for us.
