The Ganesha Shrine in Bangkok is directly adjacent to the Trimurti Shrine in front of CentralWorld shopping mall. It's another important Hindu shrine within the complex, this time dedicated for the son of Shiva and Parvati. The Hindu deity is one of the more recognisable (at least for non-Hindus) because of his elephant head, human components (many arms), elements of serpents, and the big belly that it’s depicted with. Legend has it that Ganesha angered his father, who unwittingly cut off his own son's head. To make amends, he told his soldiers to bring the head of the first animal they encountered, which happened to be an elephant with one tusk.

A red lotus is the main offering among many that are dedicated to this Hindu deity. Others that you can see placed around the shrine include small effigies, garlands of bright-orange marigolds, sweets, and fruits.
