Bed bugs, no refund, and a sleezy manager!
I have never in my life experienced bed bugs and didn't think to look when we got into the room. The hotel seemed clean and nice. When I woke up in the morning I had two bites on my arm, but I still actually didnt equate them to bed bugs because I've never even looked up what they were before and thought it was something else. Well, throughout the day and into the next day the bites contined to pop up until I had 17 bites all over my face, arms, and one on my ankle. They were extremely itchy and once I googled my symptoms (much after leaving the hotel), I realized what had happened. I ended up having so much anxiety and extreme itchiness that I missed two days of work, still havent been able to sleep the same, and am on the edge of getting my own house treated because I'm scared I brought something home on my suitcase or clothes but it costs $3600 to treat my house. I've been in constant contact with the hotel manager and he gave me a report from a pest control company claiming the room was bed bug free, but upon looking up the company, I found it wasn't a pest company it all, just another hotel chain. The manager is refusing to give me a refund for my stay and is also refusing to believe he has bed bugs. So... beware of this hotel and especially room 414.
