2 nights in Adelaide, one of 8 done this summer
So perhaps the service review is harsh, but like most reviews it tends to be the disgruntled whom complain, and 4 days on i am still not over it.
First with the room, nothing but praise, kitchen is threadbare being just a microwave but that’s fine if you have no plans to cook. Room is clean with great ambience and design. Bathroom is nice, table for eating, basically the room itself is great.
As for my negative, this relates purely to the checkin process and lack of communication, something which financially cost me thousands in lost income due to the requirement that i come back to checkin.
The staff did their best to get the room ready before 2pm but were jnable to, which is fine, i understand that and checkin is 2pm. Where i am annoyed is i feel that I should have been told of the 9pm check in close, or even that doors are locked from 8pm, meaning i was waiting for about 3 minutes before being let into thr building.
It does say on here that checkin is 2pm-9pm, so i take responsibility for not reading instructions, however if this were made aware to me, i would have waited in the lobby until 3pm in order to make sure i was checked in before leaving. As it stood, no pre checkin paperwork was done, and my bags and all belongings bar the work necessities were in the building, including ID, wallet and passport, meaning I had to leave work early, costing me conservatively about 2k.
Room is great, hence the 4 stars, but on general principle will never stay here again
