8/10 – Sehr gut

I found this hotel a bit perplexing. It is situated on a mixed use street.
I could not tell if the hotel had been purpose built, or whether it had been restored. If restored, it had been restored to a very high standard. For example, particular attention had been paid to the woodwork. The windows looked very expensive.
The rooms are located in a building next to reception. There appear to be a total of twelve rooms.
My room had a double bed, a nightstand, a wardrobe and a ‘fridge.
Although there was ample liquid soap, there were no towels, so I had to ask in my very poor Spanish.
The bathroom had also been finished to a high standard but was slightly too small. They would have done better to make the bedroom nine inches smaller, and add those nine inches to the bathroom.
The shower had been well finished. The water drained well. There was a plentiful supply of very hot water.
The commode was of an advanced design. It only used the minimum amount of water to flush. The seat had been designed to close quietly and slowly. The bathroom tissue was of the thinnest, so one had to be careful to avoid accidents.
The air conditioning worked well.
The only drawback to this hotel is that there is no restaurant. There appear to be no restaurants within walking distance. Most guests have a vehicle, so this would not pose a major problem, but I was temporarily stuck in Managua without a vehicle.
The staff were very, very helpful, despite my lamentable Spanish.
