Estes Park in Northern Colorado is famed as a base to explore the vast Rocky Mountain National Park with miles of hiking trails, wildlife viewing and panoramic views. The park is home to elk, bears and a variety of other wildlife and the hiking trails wind through forests, tundra and craggy peaks. Other outdoor adventures can be had here at the Roosevelt National Forest, and the Aerial Tramway allows visitors to ascend Prospect Mountain for scenic valley views. Visitors can also learn about local history at the Estes Park Museum.
