Tate Liverpool is an art museum and gallery along the Liverpool waterfront in the Albert Dock neighbourhood offering thousands of works in all media, from traditional to postmodern and beyond. Over 4,300 different artists are represented in the gallery's collection, some still living and others who have long since departed the mortal coil.
The collection is heavily focused on exhibiting a wide range of media. This includes traditional painting and sculpture as well as avant-garde video, audio, photography and fully multimedia exhibits incorporating different media. The collections include both permanent and rotating exhibits, so different visits will offer different experiences.

Highlights of the Tate Liverpool exhibitions
The Tate Liverpool is known for hosting a wide range of exhibits, each of which offers a unique perspective on Liverpool and the world at large. These include photographic exhibits covering 60 years of Liverpool history and those featuring portraits of the Merseyside NHS staff.
You can view the ways mass media has affected contemporary life, check out exhibits from iconic artists like Max Ernst from the 1920s and learn about the ways art can be transformative by viewing meteorite carvings. The gallery also offers talks, workshops and courses throughout the year to educate, entertain and fascinate.

What to know before visiting Tate Liverpool
Tate Liverpool offers free admission to all, making it a budget-friendly attraction. The museum houses a gift shop where you can purchase books, prints, gifts or souvenirs of your visit. An onsite cafe allows you to stop and grab a bite of lite fare with a cup of tea to relax during or after your visit.
The nearest car park is within walking distance and offers 2,000 spaces. Disability parking is available, as are wheelchairs for loan, but visitors must call in advance to inquire about booking since only 5 wheelchairs are available. Assistance dogs are welcome, and drinking bowls can be provided by staff.
