Stunning views (when it's not foggy), sleepy town, really steep hill to get there, minimally equipped, horrible property management company / disconnected owner!
I'm moving from Atlanta to Silicon Valley, so I'm trying to learn the different areas and, oddly enough, their microclimates, by staying in different properties. This was one of the less pleasant experiences and I would NOT recommend this property.
Pacifica can be stunningly gorgeous with an overlook of the ocean from this property, and it can be foggy so badly that you can't see 10 feet in front of you. Temps also fluctuated from the low to mid-40s to 80 degrees inside one afternoon!
This property is dated; the owner has it minimally equipped for a comfortable stay (had to make multiple trips to Target); the bed is 6 inches off the ground; NO AC; and a showerhead that's a spigot (borderline criminal)! The property management company is indifferent, if not rude, and not sure who owns the place, but I'd be embarrassed by the experience.
ZERO signage on how to find the unit; if you arrive at 1:30 AM after traveling all day, pitch-dark and torrential pouring rain, good luck finding it.
The thermostat had no power to it - the property management company wanted me to send them a picture before they'd come out and fix it. The person living right above this unit is up at all hours and walks really heavily. When asked about the AC, was told to open doors to cool the unit. Condescending as hell. Not thanks.
