I recently stayed at Motel 6 for the first time, and I must say, was an extremely disappointing experience! I had a confirmed reservation through Hotels.com, but upon arrival, was shocked to learn that my booking had been canceled by the staff with no reason, prior notice or communication from the hotel. Seems like they overbooked the hotel and cancelled my room to be able to sell my room to someone else at a higher rate.
The hotel's management was unhelpful and unprofessional in addressing the situation, and it felt like they didn't care at all about resolving the issue. Having booked through Hotels.com I was luckily able to contact their customer service to have me relocated to another property.
Will not be booking with this chain again, and I highly recommend others to think twice before choosing this property.
