Spent 10 days at Sonesta and would not return or recommend it anyone.
Location is great, you can watch the planes landing , but that's the only positive.
With only a few exceptions, staff is rude and has the "I don't care" mentality.
Pre-arrival communication with front impossible, 4th mail got finally replied, very unfriendly & negative.
Asking for tours at the tour desk: "here is the agency's name, you can google them" (quote!)
Asking for a cab: "pick one in front of the hotel" etc.
Gold status should come with 3 extras: a) room upgrade if available - allegedly it was not available, although the hotel was at ca.50% occupancy. Even worse, my “ocean view room” was overlooking a huge dirty green roof, obstructing most of the view; b) a bottle of wine - they have "never heard of this, you should enjoy the house wine" (quote!) which they offer free in the all-inclusive package and c) late check-out, if available - again, allegedly it was not possible, however no staff has entered my room in the next 3.5 hours (!) after my checkout.
At the pool you can enjoy at least 2-3 different music from guests' ghetto blaster (on top of the music from the hotel’s loudspeakers), staff doesn't care, not even after complaints from guests.
Food was mediocre or even worse, basic cafeteria food, not the quality you would expect. No fantasy in the menu, poor preparation, service extremely slow, focussing on some sort of guests (no details, not to be a racist...)
All in all,not worth the money
