My husband & I encountered a terrible disappointment during our recent stay for 6 nights at the TownePlace Suites and Hotel.
We approached the front desk to request quarters for the laundry, as per the instructions provided in the information sheet we received during check-in that the laundry machines only accept quarters & to contact the concierge for assistance. Unfortunately, my interaction with the receptionist, Shauntisse, was distressing. Not only was she unhelpful, but she also exhibited an incredibly rude demeanor throughout our conversation.
Despite my efforts to explain our situation clearly & my polite request for assistance in obtaining change, I was met with an abrupt and disrespectful response. Shauntisse stated she could not assist us until the next day when we were checking out. She was rude obnoxious & her behaviour was shocking to say the least. All I was trying to do was follow the guidelines provided by your establishment. This situation caused us a lot of inconvenience.
When I inquired about speaking with a manager, I was informed that none were on duty and this lack of support only heightened my frustration, as I expected better from a hotel that prides itself on service. I truly believe it is of utmost importance for all staff members to treat guests with respect and courtesy, regardless of the situation.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel as it also no longer under the umbrella of Marriott. It has been sold & the info is not accurate.
