Very friendly staff - location solala
After one night I left my luggage for a trip to Iguazu. Came back after 3 days for another night before leaving Argentina to head back home. The staff at the reception was super. Very friendly and helpful. Spoke good english and one even spoke sufficient German. Free Internet and print for airline on-line check-in boarding card. Helped to find cheap way for transport to Ezeiza airport.
Breakfast is rather simple with only coffee, tea, toast, marmelade and cereals. Big, modern furnished room with a huge bed.
Location is very good if one likes to hang out at bars and restaurants within Palermo area. Going for seight seeing to center of Buenos Aires by public transport needs a 15-20 min. walk to the Metro
( SUBE line D ) and a further 30 - 40 min metro ride to Catedral / Plaza Mayor ( ticket price 5 ARS). Taxi to City Airport Jorge Newbery ARP about 80 - 100 ARS. Trip to Intl. Airport EZE by taxi between 350 - 450 ARS, by EZE Minibus 60 ARS + 110 ARS for taxi to go to Minibus station.
Conclusion: Very friendly staff, big comfortable rooms but front ones noisy up to 22:00, many restaurants in vicinity of 15 min walk, but not so good location for city visits.
Tip: When arriving at ARP, don't take a taxi from the taxi booth or from a guy at the exit who is arranging one for you. They charge 160 - 175 ARS whereas the normal taxi fare is between 80 to 100 ARS, depending on the traffic situation.
Going to Intl. Airport EZE by taxi is about 450 ARS, ok if one shares by 3 people, (
