VACATION CLUB vs. hotel/resort
Being at a Vacation Club is a different thing than staying in a hotel or at a resort facility. We did have to go through a short, non-pressurized pitch in order to get our parking pass, but the person was nice enough.
Our 1-bdrm condo was spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen (stove/oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, etc), and a super-comfortable king bed. Also appreciated having a ceiling fans in the bedroom and in the living area. The pool area and the lazy river were enjoyable.
The facility is a good, fun place for families and kids (there are a couple of waterslides at the pool, rafts are provided for lazy river, and there's even a sandy beach area for kids to play). There's also a daily "craft" activity. The proximity to Sea World/Aquatica would make it a great place to stay if you were spending a couple of days there.
This place really needs is a better restaurant on-site. Yes, there are more than a handful of good food options within 10 minutes, and with a full kitchen, you can cook your own meals (there are even several outdoor grills available) - but the food at the restaurant was very average (at best)...and the "breakfast options" were very limited and over-priced.
