Lovely time
Nice hotel. Great location to explore sudbury /have some lovely walks. Really comfy bed. Shower a bit lacklustre and missing a piece that hid the glue etc but for the price i was happy. Bar has amazing fireplace and the mill wheel. Well worth a visit Breakfast wise you get when you pay for

Staff did their best but there were large queues for the bar and staff struggled to find clean glasses and tables were not cleared. Breakfast was very average with tea and coffee running out and not replenished and staff not noticing, the same with milk and juices, cups and teaspoons. A classic case of owners trying to run a busy hotel with the minimum number of staff and little attention to detail.

Ideally located for walking to town or walking around the water meadows. We received a free upgrade which was nice. Room was spacious and had a lovely view, however it was on the top floor of the old building which had no lift and involved a climb of three sets of steep stairs - good exercise😅. Only criticism - shower mat mouldy.
