Playa Vega Baja, also known as Playa Puerto Nuevo and La Playa Sucia is a serene little beach sheltered from the windy North Atlantic swells by a quarter mile long natural rock wall. The waters are calm, clear, and shallow, perfect for snorkeling, swimming, and playing. There are some natural pools that form when sea water overtops the rock walls and provide a natural alternative for those afraid of the open waters.
