Room number 1 is the closest to the A1, we had some pesky flies when we arrived, the entrance door was partially off it's hinges so hard to open and close, and my wife thought it smelled of damp and for the price (£169) we hoped for better. We had stayed in the old Waverly in Edinburgh for £60 the previous night which had a much nicer bathroom - so we really must have been payiong for the proximity to Holy Island, which is well worth a visit!!!
Great place as a base for seeing the N.E. coast. Rooms good but shower area had some issues with excess water. The temp. of showers should have been much hotter. Washbasin too small. Breakfast hit and miss service quality staff lacked experience. They got orders mixed up.. Good for a 1 or 2 night stay. Price for the 3 nights a little excessive.
The location of the property is second to non. Great for access to the local area and to holy island. Food quality was decent however the portions for a Lancashire breakfast was not the best. The biggest issue I had with the stay was the Accomodation, I paid £150 for a family room, on entering the room it had a strong damp smell, it had no ventilation and the carpet to the en suite was wet. The shower door kept derailing on opening and closing (I had 2 x young children a 1yrs old and 5yrs old to shower this was unsafe frustrating) the vertical shower pole kept detaching from the upper attachment and falling off which meant the shower head itself wouldn’t stay upright. Unfortunately it appears the hotel takes a large amount of its income from its food and has let its Accomodation go, when complaining to staff they said there was nothing they could do and we had to pay and ask for money back at a later date. This was disappointing as the room was clearly not up to scratch and something should of been done at the time, unfortunately I would not recommend staying at the Lindisfarne Inn due to expensive room and inadequate standards of general health and hygiene, Danielle
We stayed for one night and wished we weren’t moving on! The staff were fabulous and the covid compliance was carried out so well without it being regimented. Can’t recommend the place enough
Travelers be warned: In 3 weeks of traveling across the entire East Coast of the UK, this hotel was *by far* the worst value for money and the least friendly we encountered. The prices during our stay were extremely inflated (and much higher than much lovelier boutique hotels in surrounding towns - Bertrams being one of many examples) for what was essentially a dark motel room, with one tiny window, overlooking an extremely loud parking lot. The owner clearly cares very little about staff welfare, as the (very young) wait and hotel staff seemed to be working back-to-back shifts, and completely overwhelmed by the 'eat out to help out' scheme and covid circumstances during our stay. We had to wait for over 3 (!!!) hours for our food at dinner, which also had inflated prices for substandard pub fare (27 GBP for a very basic steak with chips!), clearly due to being in a highly touristed area. Until this hotel is under better management, I would tell anyone heading to Lindisfarne to stay anywhere else - and avoid this tourist trap.
Nice friendly staff helpful clean
Just stay a night for taking rest after long drive. Excellent place to drop by and stay. The B&B is a step to A1. The place is very nice and well decorated. Good food and beer. The room is great and bed is comfy. If you want to go to the holy island, this is a great choice to stay. It’s just 5 miles away from the island.
Lovely place to stay in an amazing part of the country. The staff where really nice and always happy to help. Food was amazing and the service was excellent. Also pet friendly as we had 2 dogs with us
Staff very helpful. Social distancing measures very good. Room very clean. Convenient location for stop off on way to and from Scotland.
