A converted apartment in a great area. The sofa bed was comfortable. Would have liked more info on arrival, never used the dishwasher and guessed the washing machine. Be aware that there is no elevator.

Really amazing little gem in the heart of the city! Great greeting and communication. Everything within a walking distance. Ideal for a couple or friends.

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Keep in mind this IS an apartment and not a hotel so there are some differences. You will need to contact the manager to set up a time to get the keys since there is no front desk and your room will not be cleaned or your bed made. That said, if you know what you are getting into, this place can be a great value. The location is the main selling point. You are located right in the middle of a lot of points of interest, including the main train station, Atocha, which means a quick and cheap transfer from the airport, the Retiro park, many famous museums including the Prado and Reina Sofia, and you are within walking distance to the center including the Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. You are also close to at least 2 metro stops. The apartment itself was clean, with the exception of an area rug in the kitchen which should probably be replaced. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools you would need for a meal at home as well as some extras such as spices and olive oil. There are also plenty of places nearby to get a great meal so you probably won't be doing that much cooking. The free wifi was great. The bedroom was quiet, but if you will be using the sofa-bed, keep in mind that it is by the street so can be loud late into the night. You may also need to bring your own sheets for it as none were provided. We ended up buying a set. Overall we recommend this apartment as a convenient, comfortable option in Madrid.

The apartment was close to Calle de Jesus which was full of tapas bars and restaurants. It was about 10 minutes walk from Atocha Railway Station and the Prado. It was quiet, comfortable and affordable and the wifi was quick and reliable. We had a great stay and are thinking of returning in the near future.
