This hotel needs extensive work. However, the paint was dirty and peeling in some spots. We were some disappointed there was no coffee pot.

From the time of check in to the time we left everything was handled in a very kind, courteous and professional manner.

Good value overall, but could use some cleaning
Overall, our experience was relatively good for what we paid last minute. The front desk was courteous and checked us in quickly. The hotel offered a very basic take-away breakfast, and the lobby and dining area appeared newly renovated.
There was ample parking and the lot and property were very well-lit. There were some characters staying at the property, but we didn't see any guest activity that was overly concerning.
The rooms themselves were relatively large. The bathroom and shower was clean. The water temperature and pressure was good. The room had a new tv. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the sheets appeared clean. On the downside, there were some noticeable stains on the carpet and comforter. The comforters definitely need to be replaced.

Extremely Rude Hotel Owner...
The worst customer service. Owner was in the front desk with the receptionist giving the employee an arrogate and disrespectful "talk" while I was waiting to get my key. The controlling owner began to scold the friendly receptionist in front of me. He's a callous with self-control issues. I checked in at around 9pm and got charged over 150.00 just to sleep there (less than 8hrs) During a day of total despair (power-outage) it is terrible that local citizens have to put up with the inept behavior of this respectful man. This "American Best Value" affiliation should not allow this man to be affiliated with what Best Value stands for. First and last time I give you business.
1. Effective customer service classes should be a must before having a business that survives from clientele. 2. Don't scold your employees in-front of clientele, its very uncomfortable and disrespectful towards me and your employees.
Definitely need to work on the meaning of "hospitality" to achieve the main goal of guest satisfaction.
