Gutes Hostel mit schneller Verbindung ins Zentrum, Metro ist 3 Gehminuten entfernt, Zimmer waren sauber und absolut ausreichend für einen Wochenendtrip. Auch so war das gesamte Hostel sauber und in gutem Zustand. Leider war das Personal relativ unfreundlich und nicht sehr hilfsbereit, da sollte man dran arbeiten.

Es war laut, Servicepersonal das falsche Informationen herausgegeben hat. keine Handtücher verfügbar.

Für diesen Preis war die Unterkunft okay. Man sollte nicht zu viel erwarten... Die tägliche Reinigung war nur Tücher wechseln und Mülleimer leeren, der Boden wurde nie geputzt. Die Unterkunft hat eine Küche, falls man selber mal kochen möchte. Diese wird jedoch rege genutzt und riecht dementsprechend auch. In der Umgebung gibt es etwa zehn Minuten von der Unterkunft entfernt ein kleines Viertel mit Essens- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, jedoch ist das Zentrum die bessere Wahl für Essen/Einkaufen. Metro-Station gerade neben der Unterkunft, 20min bis ins Stadtzentrum. Für Kinder-Tickets muss man eine Station weiterlaufen, da diese nur am Kiosk verfügbar sind (nicht beim Automat). Check-in/out verlief schnell und zufriedenstellend.

Hello, I would like to keep my name anonymous as to not draw attention to myself, but I had a very serious and slightly disturbing experience at your hostel a&o Amsterdam Zuidoost, and I would like to bring it to someone’s attention. I stayed at this hostel for about 5 days earlier this month of August 2019. I had been travelling by myself as a young woman, and had made casual conversation with the male receptionist who took my reservation and set up my room for me, I had asked him what there was to do around the hostel, and he insisted that he could show me to a good coffee shop just around the corner on a map in the lobby, I of course accepted as this was a very kind gesture. I had gone to leave my things in my room, and came down stairs where he had shown me a shop just down the street, and then proceeded to say he could actually go with me after he was off in about 20 minutes. I said I was fine if we found eachother again, but I was a bit reluctant to say yes because we had just met. I went outside for a smoke and then turned around to see he was outside there as well taking a smoke, we talked for a bit and I told him about California, then I went back inside to my room and went to the small park across the street and took a phone call home, and while I was there he showed up, and asked if I still wanted to go to the coffee shop. I said ok and we walked down, smoked a bit and then went to a public area to smoke the other half as it closed about 15 minutes after we arrived

We truly enjoyed our A&O stay! The place is quiet, great for families, and the staff was super friendly! THANK YOU
