Arrived first of all to be told that we didn't have a booking and they couldn't find anything. Eventually found it after having to walk into their back office to see what was happening (as it's a bit worrying when they leave with your phone and passports for 15 mins with no explanation). Room was basic but was decent for the price paid. The food at the resort is terrible, from live bugs found in the breakfast cereal, advertised menus for the €15 dinner deal for which much of what was advertised was not available including the main dishes. When questioning the staff they just said they didn't have it. A lot of cold food that was meant to be hot which was worrying. The staff seemed to not know what they were doing and were very puzzled by such simple tasks. Was meant to be pass on a message for our pickup transfer. Which to be fair would have been useless as that was wrong but that's another issue. The room was cleaned daily however the floor was often left wet with dirty water, the door and shutters to the ground floor balcony that were always closed on exit were left open and unlocked when we returned each day. This was my first and will be my first and last visit to Cape Verde.

Great hotel complex with hardworking cleaning/catering staff. Rooms (they are suites) are excellent with every cooking and washing facility available.The admin are a nightmare though. No water in our block at all for entire day (06.00-20.00), but no apologies/explanations or even concern that no one could wash or use toilets. It was impossible to get lunch one day because neither of the cafes had been provided with most of their food. On checking out there was an attempt to charge me 6 Euros for a call which clearly cost 50 Cents. No apology, just a surly manager saying "mistake" Wi-Fi hardly worked at all because "sometimes it doesn't work". The TV gradually lost all the English channels within a few days, but no one fixed it. The bus into town was frequently full so a lot of people would have to wait - wouldn't it be better to have a hourly service? Could easily be really good but someone needs to give the more senior members of staff a kick up the rrrrrr..

Palvelu ystävällistä ja asiallista. Aamiainen monipuolinen ja runsas. Tarvittaessa tarjottiin avoautolla kuljetusta hotellin ja aamiaistalon välillä.

Foi tudo ótimo, pessoal bem receptivo, local limpo e agradável. Bem localizado e tranquilo. Precisa de um carro para ficar ali oi usar os táxis.

Parin kilometrin päässä Santa Mariasta. Ilmainen kyyditys hotellin ja Santa Marian välillä kahdeksan kertaa päivässä. Taksi 3e/suunta. Myös kävellen ainoastaan yksi pitkä 2km suora, joten sitäkin tuli tehtyä silloin tällöin, tuuli vaan on melko raju aukiolla ajoittain. Kävelymatkan päässä marketti, josta budjettimatkailija hakee itselleen välipalat. Hotellin sinänsä ok aamiaiseen kyllästyimme parin kerran jälkeen, joten lähimarketti oli kätevä tässäkin mielessä. Lähellä myös jokunen ravintola. Yleisesti ottaen menimme kumminkin mieluiten Santa Mariaan syömään, jossa Barracudasta muodostui suosikkimme. Sijaitsee aivan rannalla laiturin lähettyvillä, suht edullinen ja todella maukasta seafoodia, 7e nimikkopasta oli todella hyvää! Hotelli todella tilava ja sinänsä ihan siistikuntoinen. Muurahaisia oli keittiössämme melkoinen armeija, kunnes siivoojat ilmeisesti myrkyttivät ne. Voisin valita majoituksen uudelleenkin, mutta en valitse, koska itse Sal saari ei tarjoa nähtävää muutamaa päivää pidemmäksi ajaksi, joten uusintaa ei ole luvassa. Hyvin kumminkin viihdyimme tuon pariviikkoisen mm. aivan vieressä olevalla tenniskentällä (2e/h omin varustein, 5e/h mailoineen ja palloineen) pelaillen.
