Once we were able to check into our room, the accommodations themselves were great and met expectations. However, the check-in experience and breakfast service left us disappointed.
Our reservation indicated a 4:00 PM check-in, and we arrived at approximately 4:10 PM. Unfortunately, the front desk associate—who mentioned it was only his second day—was left to handle all check-ins and check-outs alone. According to the system, no rooms were clean at that time, so we were unable to check in and were told to return later.
I inquired about upgrading to a suite, but the associate was unsure how to process that request since my reservation was made through Hotels.com. We decided to leave and return after an hour or so. When we came back around 6:15 PM, there was a line out the door, and it took another 30 minutes to be checked in. The following day, I noticed additional staff at the desk, which likely helped after the many complaints received the prior evening.
Lastly, the breakfast did not meet expectations. I was looking forward to a hot breakfast with eggs, but the only option available was a processed cheese omelet. While the nearby restaurants provided alternatives, the experience was not what I anticipated.
