The Wolas Villa & Spa

Customer service was excellent and staff were very accommodating and helpful.

My husband and I spent a week at this beautiful villa for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We highly recommend The Wolas Villas & Spa if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Make sure to download the Gojek app prior to arriving in Bali for the most affordable transportation option! The staff, the breakfast options, the size of the villas was superb. If you have any special request, just send them an email before your arrival. We experienced eating at the restaurant for dinner one evening. The food was good but a bit too expensive for what it was. We tried to not be too put off by the price because we enjoyed our dinner while watching traditional Balinese dancing. A tip would be NOT to buy into the special 3-course dinner packages on entertainment nights and just eat from the regular menu. If you are after the affordable dining options that everyone raves about in Bali, we recommend eating at "Warung Batavia". It's located just a 2 minute walk down the road from The Wolas. We never experienced Bali belly during our trip. As for a negative, I would say I wasn't as happy with my spa experience. The massage itself was amazing but the room where the massage happens needs improvement to be more in line with the standard of the rest of the place. The jacuzzi was in a horrible condition, therefore, I didn't even bother using the flower bath apart of my spa package. I would only recommend a standard massage, not a spa package until they make improvements.

Really disappointed with the Wolas Villas. Perhaps my wife and I were spoiled by the first resort we visited in Ubud, but we really were hoping for better. Everything looks great on the surface, but there were many frustrations. 1. The bathroom did not seem very clean; the toilet was disgusting looking. 2. the directory in the villa had all sorts of bad information and needed updating. 3. Our villa was never promptly cleaned, even after requesting it from the front desk. 4. The restaurant/bar seemed constantly out of things that were listed on the menu. The most frustrating part is we picked this place, despite the location being sub-par, because of how nice it looked and all the wonderful reviews. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience as others.

Fantastic villa and lovely staff. They were friendly from the day we arrive till the day we leave. Breakfast was good. Pool is superb. Will definitely come again

We liked that it was somewhere quieter than the main area of Seminyak.

The hotel itself was excellent overall . It was however located quite a distance from the beaches . We walked to the beach on the first day and it took over an hour and a half--but crossing roads e.t.c.was risky and we did not walk again. WiFi was variable. The roads were solid with traffic with very high levels of motorcycles ,which were also driving on the paths because of the high congestion and air quality was very poor from the exhaust emissions--and continuous noise levels of the engines was extreme . Once at the beaches, the access roads behind them were solid with parked motorcycles . Care had to be taken with taxi drivers who were continually attempting to charge up to 4 times a fair fare.

Beautiful villas, lovely grounds, fantastic staff who were so friendly and always willing to help with anything. We loved staying at The Wolas and look forward to going back.
