Hotel Chez Swann - Montreal

This could be a nice Hotel, if they would clean the bathrooms. There was hair everywhere and the shower obviously hasn't been properly cleaned for a long time. The room was a bit dark. The staff at the reception was really nice and friendly when we checked in. The guy who checked us out had no manners at all. Instead of helping us pulling our suitcases out of the cupboard, where they were stored, he just stood there. What was really amazing was the breakfast, we did not expect, as it was not booked by hotels.com. The chocolate croissants are delicious.

Loved the uniqueness of the hotel. Staff were top notch. Would go back in a heartbeat!

disappointing. Their claim of a 4 star rating is unjustified. I had to change rooms twice as did my friend. One room had no hot water, two rooms had broken thermostats leaving rooms like a sauna. Broken grab bar in bathroom. Frayed towels. Free breakfast was marginal for a continental breakfast. One day hotel room was not cleaned at all, the next day I received new towels but bed not made and sink not wiped out. Manager was not available when problems occurred and the friendly staff had no power to remedy the situation. Their restaurant bar charged Three times what one glass of house red wine would cost. Twice as much as in New York City. For a 23 room hotel, they had more issues than would be expected. Hopefully they will pay better attention to details in the future. At check out the manager offered a small compensation. He listened, hopefully our experience was a rare event.

The hotel was an amazing spot for a couples getaway... romantic, sensual. The staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The room was fantastic. And the shower in the suites.. need to see it to believe it.

We arrived late at night. Our room was ready. We loved the boutique style hotel. The staff were superb. The location is walking distance to nightlife and restaurants. We look forward to our next trip and stay at Chez Swan.
