St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London

Das Gebäude ist wunderschön, die Zimmer groß und komfortabel. Das Essen ist gut. Das Personal freundlich. Die Wartezeit bis ein Tisch für das Frühstück zugeteilt wird ist unangenehm und entsteht, da zuviele Reservierungen von Besuchern von aussen angenommen werden. Das Frühstück selbst ist ok (war aber früher viel besser), teilweise wird nichtmal nachgereicht, und das bei einem fünf Sterne Hotel. Die Wartezeit für eine Tasse Kaffee dauerte bis zu 35 Minuten!! Ebenso ist der Service in der Lounge sehr langsam, obwohl nicht viele Gäste dort waren, z.B. eine Limonade um 6 Pfund kam 40 Minuten gar nicht und dann nur auf Nachfrage. Entgegen der Auskunft erhält man im Spa weder Handtuch noch Bademantel oder Slippers, wenn Sie nur den Pool benützen. Nur bei Buchung einer Behandlung wird das zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Wlan ist extra zu bezahlen!! Ein 4 Sterne Hotel mit 3 Sterne Service, aber kein 5 Sterne Hotel. Einzig das Gebäude ist wirklich top!!

Wunderbares Hotel mit genialem Ambiente!

One night. We ate at The Booking Office which exceeded our expectations. We stayed in room 520 with view to top of a lower room and wall but it didn’t matter. Our bathroom light fused and they sent an engineer quickly. Very small water bottles in our room and charging £4 for a small plastic bottle of water is very “grabby”.

Like most hotels it is about being welcomed and helped out by the staff and the St Pancra Renaissance has a wonderful team which cannot do enough for you. Well done everyone

Our room was not ready at check in time and we decided to have a late lunch while waiting for the room to be ready. At reception I was told someone would call me on my mobile when the room was ready. No one called. The lunch service was poor.I ordered a crab risotto and green salad. The salad did not come and I had to ask for it again. It arrived just as I was finishing my main meal. Staff were not attentive. When we finally were given the key cards for our room - the key cards didn't work . We went back to reception to complain. We had been given there wrong key cards. We were staying overnight before our euro star journey next day and reception said " oh , you are staying 4 nights." No- we were staying one night and had prepaid the room. I said I was very disappointed at the service we were receiving and we were told we would be upgraded and given cards for the club room . The club room facilities were frankly very disappointing compared to other hotels we have stayed in . Although the location is fantastic for Eurostar, I would not stay here again due to the poor service in the restaurant and at reception check -in. Some staff training is required . Not great value for money either.
