Hotel De Nice

Lovely area and a great hotel. Very happy!!

This old hotel is very conveniently located and both staff members could not have been more helpful. They spoke very good English too. The rooms are small but charming. Bathroom is clean and functional. Our room looked over a restaurant but we couldn’t hear any noise. Fast WiFi. The sitting room (pictured is not to be missed.

I am amazed that this hotel has such good reviews.The room shown on Hotels.com was NOT the room we were actually given (Room 10). It was on floor 3 (have to ask for gain lift access). Reception service very hit and miss. We wish we had complained about the room at the time. It was an awful room, very small and with terrible bedding, and up several stairs (you have to ask for access to the lift). Please see my 2 photos. When others have described the hotel as quirky or parisian this doesnt cover the fact that the hotel is very worn and quite shabby. We stayed there for 2 nights from 9-10 September. We were so glad to leave.

Great location. Small rooms but clean and comfortable.

A small, nicely furnished hotel in a great location. The hotel is small, but nicely furnished in old French style. The staff is friendly and English speaking. The rooms are small, but not very small. You have windows from the floor to the sealing which are double (or triple glazed) which block almost all traffic noise. So, if you have a light sleep, earplugs (for safety) and windows closed, then no issues. The beds could be a bit more comfy though. The good news is, air con is available in the rooms. The bathroom is small, don't expect much, but it's good enough for a shower. Also good is, everything is clean. The breakfast contains a piece of baguette, a croissant, tea or coffee, a little pot of apple mash and apple juice, altogether good for a quick start into the day. The elevator is small and can carry max three people, but apart from the fact that it is small, all is good with it. The hotel is very centrally located, between Saint Paul and Hotel de Ville on Metro line 1 which carries you across Paris.
