The hotel is a medium rise modern but not contemporary building (8 floors) situated on a large boulevard leading into the center of Cagliari. Our moderately-sized room on the 6th floor was comfortable with a balcony facing a pleasant sea view. Only thing missing in the room was tea/coffee making facility. The rooftop restaurant with a panoramic view of the city had good breakfast and dinner food (excellent in the case of a steak with black olive cream sauce), and the staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. Two out of three reception staff we dealt with were cordial and helpful, the other one efficient but rather aloof (notwithstanding our speaking Italian and knowing the local courtesy rules). The hotel provides free covered parking in a basement garage, however the access is very narrow, one has to proceed with distinct caution, and there are not many spaces, all of them cramped (also no elevator service to the ground floor). Fortunately, street parking in the immediate neighborhood is easy to find at least in late February/early March. All in all, the price of the room (including breakfast) was quite reasonable and we would return were the occasion to present itself.
Great staff, lovely bar, pool area clean and comfortable. Rooms airy and bright and modern. Would visit again.
The hotel was nothing special but it was a good base for us. There's free parking in the underground car park and on the driveway. The carpark spaces will be a squeeze for some people but the spaces outside are easy to access. We got a space every evening. The room was basic (floor 4) but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked properly and the shower was good. Wifi was rubbish! Breakfast had the usual range you'll find in Italian hotels. Nothing special but the view from the dining room (top floor) is a great start to the day. The pool was decent and we always got two loungers. However, we travelled in mid-July, before the real summer rush began so it might be more difficult in August. The cafe/bar has the usual hotel prices but was ok for getting drinks for the pool. The food didn't look particuarly appealing though so we didn't try it. Staff were generally very helpful and friendly. There was a small fitness room which had basic equipment - sufficient for a week. There are no restaurants nearby so we took the bus into town most evenings. The regular PF and PQ routes stop outside; the trip to town takes less than ten minutes. For the best rates, buy a weekly ticket from the machine on Piazza Giacomo Matteotti or a 12-trip ticket from a tabacchi. There are some small supermarkets, pharmacy, etc. available on via della Pineta (less than five minutes' walk). It's not 4-star but you get what you pay for and it was good value.
The hotel did not live up my expectations -- it's advertised better than it is. It's situated 2.5 km from the Poetto beach (25-35 min by foot) and about 3 km from the city centre. Due to its remoteness it may be good for those who don't fancy noisy and congested city centre. There are no good restaurants around (they are all mostly in the centre). I stayed there 5 days and nobody wiped out the dust in the room all this time (even though they cleaned the room each day), so at the end all surfaces were very dusty. The breakfast is ok, but the range is for 3*, not 4*. Basically, I don't quite understand why it's a 4* hotel and not 3* -- only because the hotel building itself is big. On the other hand, the price is OK.
noisy room( on second floor) very helpful staff. I made that to remov shower curtain put sliding door, because didn't have another suit available . Good breakfast ( wish use better BACAN)
