Best Pantheon B&B

Dieses Hotel war eine Enttäuschung. Trotz Voranmeldung war bei Ankunft um 21.00h niemand vor Ort. Nach einem Anruf kam nach 10 Minuten jemand um aufzuschliessen und das Zimmer zu übergeben. Niemand half, die Koffer die zahlreichen Stufen hochzutragen. Trotz Voranmeldung wegen Essenseinschränkungen und Bestätigung seitens des Hotels wurde dies einfach ignoriert (auch nach zweimaligem Nachfragen). Ebenfalls hatten wir vorab angefragt, ob man sicher WLAN hat im Zimmer, weil gearbeitet werden muss. Auch hier Fehlanzeige, WLAN ging fast immer nur im engen Gang (wo man nirgends an einen Tisch sitzen konnte). Sauberkeit des Zimmers war nicht ausreichend. Alles ist sehr ringhörig. Check out bereits um 10.00h. Man darf zwar das Gepäck vor Ort lassen, es gibt jedoch keine Möglichkeit, noch ein Badezimmer oder eine Toilette zu benutzen beim Abholen der Koffer. Wäre es günstiger, könnte man über vieles hinwegsehen, aber das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier absolut nicht. Einzig die Lage, die ist wirklich gut, wenn auch eher laut.

We stayed there for 3 nights and it was a good stay. The service was attentive. We had fresh fruit everyday. The breakfast is at a restaurant downstairs, Its a good breakfast. Location is great. 5 mins away from the Pantheon.

We loved our (3) night stay and would stay there again. It is the perfect location to walk and see all the sites. The Vatican and Colosseum are about the longest walks at 20 minutes. It looks just like the pictures and was very clean. We had a room over looking the busy street and it was still quiet with the balcony door closed. A few things to just be aware about. It is a (4) room hotel so small and there is no elevator so about 1.5 floors from the street. You are given (4) keys for the doors to get in, your room key, and the safe. The breakfast is a certificate for a cute little cafe just around the corner where we went once. It was fine, but just drinks, toast, and pastry. The complimentary Nespresso machine in the hotel was great for morning espresso and then we just had a protein shake in our room. I was waiting for my wife to get ready. Wifi worked well. TV was just BBC for English, but your in Rome. They also had a shelf of DVD's to borrow. Irina, who runs the place, was great. Friendly and was very helpful in directions for the train. Easy to take the airport train to Travestere and then tram to a block from the hotel. We did the arranged ride from the airport and then train back. Train is 30 Euros where the arrange car was 50. Both take about an hour.

Location was very central, but facing a main road the soundproofing was good for the days but fell short at night. The temperature of the air conditioner couldn't be adjusted, and was possibly intentionally kept off . But the balcony couldn't be kept open to allow cooler air (in early October) since it was noisy. Interestingly some relatively small amount of currency we had was not accounted for only in this B & B ( we had been in 2 other places a hotel and an inn) and we had the money accounted for earlier at this site and then later there 1 less note (6 notes later only 5 left). The room was often checked things had been moved and at 1 instance the manager ( had wanted to come in - but didn't know we were inside) he was with " the owner" - don't know why he would want to bring that man in when the room was occupied and not in between occupants. All in all for those reasons wouldn't recommend to anyone else

We had an amazing stay at the Best Pantheon. Monica went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to help us with all our planning. Room was exactly what we expected and close to many sights...Highly recommended!
