This has to be one of (if not THE) best B&B's we have ever stayed in. From start to finish we were made to feel genuinely welcome and treated like part of the family.
The Dunstanburgh Suite was huge with everything we could wish for during our stay - including a microwave and fridge/freezer - great for if we had a busy day and just wanted to have a light meal when we got back.
The shower was powerful and possibly even better than the one we have at home (grrrrrr- thought I would never say that!). Double sinks and a free standing bath, fluffy towels made for a luxurious bathroom.
The super king sized bed was so comfortable that we managed a great night's sleep from the first night.
Breakfast, as well as the Full Breakfast options, included a good choice of more unusual items (such as toasted bagel with toppings and English Muffins with toppings) so we were spoilt for choice! Fresh fruit, yoghurt etc AND you can make coffee to your preferred strength (I never find anyone brave enough to make a coffee as strong as I like it).
All this and walking distance to some great restaurants, cafes supermarkets and other shops.
We shall definitely return - my only concern (on a personal level) is that everyone will find this gem and there will be no availability for us!!
