Hotel Monterey La Soeur Ginza

Bis auf den Umstand, dass das Zimmer sehr klein war gibt es an dem Hotel absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Hotel La Soeur ist relativ alt und abgewohnt, dafür den Möglichkeiten entsprechend sauber. Wifi war enorm langsam. Zimmer sehr eng. Highlight war das große Frühstücksbuffet im Schwesterhotel. Für die Kinder mussten wir nichts extra aufzahlen (waren in anderen Hotels immerhin je 800 Yen pro Tag). Lage gleich neben der großen Shoppingmeile. Preis/Leistung alles in allem okay.

Desk staff refused to put air conditioning on in my room - I had to raise my voice for an hour. They did not care about my comfort as the room was very warm and Tokyo humid. It was a disgrace .

This hotel was the closest we could get to Tokyo Station for our first night in Japan without paying $$$$$. It was sufficient for an overnight stay, but would not have been comfortable for any longer. The pillows were hard (I found out later that I think they're stuffed with Buckwheat), and the hotel had already disabled the A/C for the season, so there was no way to cool off besides opening the window. Well, that doesn't work so well when there's midnight construction outside. Of course, we were so tired it didn't matter until later.

stayed 8 nights. hotel is 15 min walk from JR Tokyo station, a few minutes walk from Tokyo Metro. a few minutes walk from the heart of Ginza. 1 minute walk from seven eleven and many restaurants. hotel check in was fast and easy. room was spacious and amenities included were great ( daily free water, pijamas, slippers, toilters) . especially great was the smartphone that was provided to be used during your stay- texts, calls and mobile network access. unfortunately, i could not use the included free WiFi on any of my devices ( smartphone, tablet, laptop) but you may have better luck.
