Grange White Hall Hotel

This hotel could be amazing but it feels tired and unloved. The staff were fine but not fantastic. The first room I was given was huge but in a basement and the mattress felt like a camp bed. I felt depressed in the room the moment I entered it. I asked to be changed and was moved to a room about half the size but on the 1st floor. That was better but no warning that it would be so much smaller. No safe in the room. Tea and coffee facilities were in an Alcatraz style wooden box nailed to the wall. The TV was pretty dated too and the picture was stretched off the sides of the wide screen. IT was not the sort of place I looked forward to escaping to after a long, busy day. I certainly did not entertain the idea of eating or drinking there.

In general it is great but could be even better if it provides slippers and toothbrushes.

Overall worth the £82 I paid for it and would stay again but would pay more for a better quality room. It was extremely small with no air con (small fan supplied but did nothing) and didn’t look like the picture it was advertised as. I ended up having to have a cold bath because the room was sickeningly warm however the plug and tap on the bathroom were grimy and not too pleasant. Staff extremely helpful and even brought up my dinner I had ordered from deliveroo.

We love the Bloomsbury area of London because it is so close to the shops and to the theatres while having a lovely ambiance as a city area. We had not stayed at the While Hall hotel previously but had stayed in the same area at other Grange hotels. The location is perfect and the hotel met all our requirements for our stay. It was clean, comfortable and had a good bathroom. We had no complaints. We did not have food at the hotel.

We were not pleased with this hotel or the staff. Most disagreeable people we met on our two trip to the U.K. shower and tub side to high to climb into. Garden below our room held loud parties. Breakfast was like eating lead balls. It seemed like a old flea-bag hotel. We will never stay there again!
