It was NOT such a good stay....ROOM was dusty.
The rooms were very clean and sanitized thoroughly. There were plenty of sanitizing wipes and pumps located throughout the hotel. The hotel has seen some wear and tear and is in need of updating. The furniture is showing wear. Only one floor had an operating ice machine. Otherwise, the stay was comfortable and the cleanliness was most important.
The DoubleTree hotel was built in 1978 (last renovated appx 2006). And it kinda shows. Room was spacious. But hotel no longer provides microwave in each room. Although the king size bed was comfy, I had to change rooms because sink water was super hot. But tub was barely lukewarm--even after letting water run for 15 minutes. In the new room, water was instantly hot in sink AND tub. The pool was open on Fri and Sat night. But air and water temp were barely 65 degrees on a frigid night where it's appx 35 degrees outdoors. Hopefully they'll be able to improve the site soon.
Was disappointed that I had to pay to park.... Room was next to electrical room… And woke me up during the night
it was ok
It wasn’t awful. There were brown stains on my comforter underneath, and the AC unit was super loud when turning on. The lobby also has a weird smell to it. I also didn’t know there was a parking fee until I got there. Staff was friendly though.
Very clean and quiet! Close to lots of stuff to do and eat!
The receptionist on duty welcomed me warmly and checked me in smoothly. I appreciated that after a 6 hour drive. I also appreciated the fresh chocolate chip cookie.
I was pleased with Mary who allowed my husband and I to check in early at 2:00. What I didnt like was there was a bug on my bed upon entering my room. Mary quickly changed our room and waived our parking fees. The Hotel is nice but is dated...it can use some renovations and updating. Over all is was a nice stay.
only one other person was correctly wearing a mask; most were holding them instead of wearing them. Air cleanliness is the kind that matters most of all these days
