Elevators need some upgrades.

newly renovated but they had issues with AC and elevators

The hotel itself is very beautiful; however the customer service that the front desk has is very poor. To begin I was quoted $50.00 over the phone for the deposit and when I arrived I was then quoted $100.00 deposit. During the check in process the front desk clerk Herman could not focus on just me he literally asked for my id and name several times because he would stop to answer calls and assist his co worker. Finally after about 20 minutes Herman finally was about to focus on me and was nice enough to let me make it with the $50.00 deposit. The check out was the exact same the front desk clerk was rude , unfocused and didn’t seem to be a very pleasant person. Beautiful hotel just poorly staffed .

Great location

We gathered for a 40 year HS reunion, negotiated a rate for a block of rooms, while we were all making plans to stay we all found much lower prices on line than the price quoted to us. We jumped that hurdle and they reduced our room rates. Upon my check in the girl at the front desk was not friendly or welcoming. I kept having to ask her to repeat herself because she mumbled. No big deal but just off putting. While checking in she was the only person at the front desk, she answered the phone and a long line formed behind me. Another employee came by and asked her some questions and then left and not there to help the long line checking in. The lobby was very warm, it was a hot windy day but seemed like there a/c was having problems. My room was a little warm, a/c set on high fan and 60, it never really cooled off. Others in our group changed rooms in hopes the a/c would work better, it did not. As far as the event, it went off without a hitch, the young lady at the hotel that assisted us was fabulous, she cared about how things were going. The gentleman in charge of the food and servers was on the spot with any and everything we needed. Overall a good experience but the hotel is a little tired and the area is not that great.
