Very convinient location at T1 of Mexico City Airport. Nice rooms!
Got the executive room for the first time as I usually get the standard and there is a big difference in the furnishings they’re a lot nicer as you would expect. Breakfast was included which was great very attentive staff and convenient location as it’s directly upstairs from international arrivals. The only downfall is the toiletries are very cheap and nasty I had to go downstairs to the pharmacy to buy a nice shampoo and conditioner as I refused to use their own ones on my hair after I smelled them, I did ask a member of staff if they had nicer ones I could use but she said no so I just went downstairs and bought my own. At the other airport hotel I stayed at before Camino real had really nice Molton brown toiletries so I would expect better from a Hilton brand. I usually bring my own but forgot to pack them this time.
Convenient to stay in the airport for an early morning flight.
Shower in the room did not work. Tub was stopped up also. We had to go to another room to take a shower. Our room smelled very musty. The room we took a shower in did not. When I went back into our room after the shower I sat in the chair and it went all the way to the back and I fell on the bed. Clearly an office chair is not supposed to do that.
I stayed a night between flights. I was happy to have a hotel in the terminal after a transatlantic flight. However, the experience was not perfect. First, there were no signs from the arrival hall indicating where to find Hilton. After asking some people (non-trivial without speaking Spanish) I was told to take go upstairs. Then I saw a big Hilton sign. However, I decided not to take an elevator, but rather an escalator. Well, bad choice - one can not reach Hilton this way, needs to come back down and take an elevator. Not fun having luggage and being exhausted In the hotel the receptionists kept talking to each other while I was standing in front of them - not too professional, not too respectful. Finally, after finding the room, I was happy to have a clean and comfortable bed. Unfortunately, the windows were facing the area inside the terminal and there was music playing all night long - not too loud, but enough for me to hear. After checking out I needed to go to another terminal. The directions were not clear and the labelings in the airport basically non-existent. It would have been nice if Hilton were to provide some sort of an airport map and have English speaking front desk administrators.
