Bourbon Curitiba Hotel (Convention)

Just a small issue: I asked to fix the hair dryer 3 times, before the same was changed.

This hotel was good overall. Especially, I enjoyed breakfirst much.

In this neighborhood, this is still the best option. The breakfast was good, with lots of options. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The sushi bar was a nice feature of the hotel. Good service and tasty drinks. There were a few problems that may make this a less desirable choice. First, be aware that this is a somewhat dangerous area for tourists. The hotel does have a 24 hr security guard, which I appreciated. But be careful - don’t wear expensive jewelry or walk around with big cameras. If safety is a priority, you may want to explore hotels in the Batel neighborhood (Brazil is not for the faint of heart :-) The hotel itself needs a few improvements to truly be a four star hotel. The rooms are a bit stuffy because the air conditioning turns off as soon as you leave the room. A tip is to ask for two keys - leave one in the slot inside the room to keep the AC going while you are out. The bathroom needs a fan to keep it dry (Curitiba is very humid in summer and mold can be a problem). While I was there, one of the elevators was out of service for an entire week - so a long wait to get back to the room. Overall, this was a convenient choice for where I needed to be. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast and bar. And just a few minor inconveniences. I would likely stay here again in the future.
