The Pelham London - Starhotels Collezione

This hotel is charming and comfortable, but my payment was inappropriate. Some Guest put the bar and restaurant fee on my room number. Of course, they corrected it. However. I had not good feeling.

Wonderful, quiet and comfortable place to stay in South Kensington. This was my second time in the last 3 months - I have already booked next stay. highly recommended

Let’s start with the positives: it’s located centrally and near South Kensington station so it was very easy to get around London. The bellmen/concierge are polite and very helpful. The room was not clean - there were visible marks on the toilet covers and I had to cover the seat with toilet paper each time I used it - the bathtub was clogged and filled with sludge after each use - horrible!! The guests in the room above me would walk around and make noise at 2-4am in the morning which awoke me each night of my stay. I called reception and requested that someone speak to them about minimizing the noise, no one did. I asked for the hotel manager to be made aware so we could discuss the following day, despite assurances that they would - no one contacted me again. No complimentary water in the suites until turndown service which I missed for two days due to late meetings. Upon checkout, the reception attendant didn’t even ask me how my stay was...this is considered a 5-star hotel...in what universe?
