The Guild in The Gulch

Our stay was great. Lighting was not bright enough. And there was nothing in the shower to put you items on. You had to put them on the floor.

This place is in a great spot, and you cannot beat the price! If you are over 50 & not super tech savvy, however, the Smart TV is ridiculously hard - if not impossible - to use. Also, there was not a bar of soap to be found in the place, and the bathroom floor wasn’t clean, nor had the shower floor been cleaned ... ewwwwwww.

Needed a place to stay on our way to Alabama. Reserved a room while in Kentucky almost 3 hits prior to arriving. We recess text asking that we send a picture of my husband’s drivers license for a background check which we did. Upon arrival we found a locked door with a keypad entry. It asked us to enter the code that was texted to us but we had never received it. I called and was told we could not enter u til the background check was complete which could take “5 minutes to 2 hours”. It had already been nearly 3 hours. I was told it was either because it was a common name or there was a record that was being looked I to. Neither my husband or myself have any kind of record other than minor traffic violations and even those were many years back. The young lady that was “helping” me was not friendly or helpful. We cancelled our reservation and I was told it would take 3-5 days to receive a refund. We never even walked in the building. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Customer service was awful. Issues checking in. Was supposed to receive a call from management the following day. I have now departed and still not received a call. Requested a replacement air filter. Was told it would be taken care of the following day. Never was done. Floors were filthy. See attached photo from wash cloth that was run across the bathroom floor upon arrival.

Totally enjoyed our stay at The Guild. This location is close to everything. Enjoyed having all of the comforts of home.
