Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort

Maybe they are overworked as it was really high season but the staff could be friendlier. Often we were made to feel like we were bothering them when we called for service at the restaurant especially. Smiles and the usual courtesy greeting as we passed each other at hallways etc were non existent. Pool area wasn’t kept clean and tidy.... I guess I can sum up the experience as: Nice as long as you don’t need any service as any form of contact with the hotel staff in general wasn’t really warm and inviting.

.....that we had to wait to check in in our room was not inconvenient as the receptionist sent us for a welcome drink at the breezy terrace. Then finally with big deceptions we found our room was NOT clean,the floor was poorly vacuumed, sandy little stones and dirts all over the room. We noticed the cleaning staff just changed the bedsheets from previous guests et voilà, !!! Food rest on the table and on the sofa, nightstands with thick dust and hairs and bathroom i don't even want to described. At 6pm the room was finally set to move in. Note from management: due to covid the room has been sanitized etc. However a positive remark, the beach was clean!!!!

Overall hotel was okay. Service could have been improved. The staff told me occupancy was low, but they couldnt even accomodate my request for high floor eventhough I requested ahead of my arrival.

Superb accommodation.

My vacation was 4D3N and I would have to say this hotel has very committed staff. Although I wasn’t too thrilled that the cleaner didn’t clean the room while we were at the pool on the second day they did make it up on the third. Mini Bar was FOC, great thing...just enough throughout our stay! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Hyatt Regency Kuantan. The hotel has two pools, not crowded but I think it’s more due to the COVID situation and hotel was on the beach (we managed a nice stroll in the AM). Breakfast varieties and choices were not too bad. My only comment is that the hotel serves terrible coffee at breakfast. I took the cappuccino and I couldn’t drink it. Personal opinion of a person that travels quite frequently and stays at numerous hotels, your coffee in the AM should strive to be top notch. All in all I would give 4.5/5.

Very friendly staff Clean and nice Parking is ok

Excellent resort. Rooms were nicely designed and in good condition, love the movable mirror and walk in closet. Complimentary mini bar is a nice touch. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and special heads up to the soft and fluffy, pancakes and great waffles. Sampan bar has a small selection of food/drink, adequate and perfect environment to just chill. Overall, highly recommended!

This is only my personal experience. We went a few 5star hotel, however this hotel doesn’t meet my expectation. Maybe am not so lucky coz the house keeping not done his job as should be. My complaint is more on house keeping staff, up to 4.30pm.. nobody clean up our room until am complain. Breakfast just ok. Can improve everyday serve the same menu. So inconvenient coz we have to wait long queue fr having our bfast. Understood due to Covid 19, but can be improved, they need to do something for those with children. Maybe can prioritize or do different lane fr guest with children especially with kids below 5yrs old. Overall just ok

All good except the car parking facilities are inadequate
