The worst hotel we had on our trip around the world. Tiny rooms always in the basement - right next to the dining room where breakfast is prepared early at 5:45 am. So very, very loud early on. The breakfast room is also used by guests in the evenings. Therefore also very noisy in the evening. Too soft beds. Only one skylight in the room. No freedom of movement (narrow aisle in front of the bed and between the beds). No place for the suitcases. No microwave in room. Too small breakfast room. Breakfast buffet almost always empty. Once at 9 o'clock there wasn't even any milk left. The juice machine stood there unfilled for 7 days. No waffles. Every day you had to ask if food and hot water was refilled. Completely understaffed. The poor kitchen help. Contrasted with the bored reception staff who sat in the right hand corner staring at their mobile phones whenever you entered the hotel. No wonder they found time to scroll through Instagram stories and Tiktok videos instead of caring about guest well-being. Unsympathetic and not interested in solving the problem. Due to the high volume in the early hours of the morning we asked for another room. They said that all rooms were fully booked. A look at the website revealed that 20 percent of the rooms were still free. Stay away from here if you want to spend nice days in NY. One night in this hotel you will regret!!! Since the hotels in developing countries like Peru or South Africa were much much better than this hotel! Dreadful.
