Awesome!!
the bed was very comfortable.
We had a mini vacation . Took the family, the hotel had lots of things going on as it was March break but they did a good job, we got our room and the patio door wouldn't close. The door might as well be open , room was supe cold, i went to front desk and got some painters tape.and closed off the air leak. The maintenance there said it's been like that for awhile and they were known of it, and since i had two kids under 6. I wasn't too happy to hear that. But other then that our stay was great.
The service was great and the rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable and clean. We have come here 5 years now during March break and never have a problem with the pool but this year it was very cold and we could not be in the outdoor heated pool because it was too cold in the water. We did make comment to the pool attendant who said she would bring it to the attention of the hotel.
Very nice, recent upgrades to rooms and carpeting in the hallways/lobby. Bed was super comfortable, but pillows were like soft marshmallows. A magnification mirror in the bathroom would be a nice amenity. The big negative was the loud heating unit. While you can control the temperature electronically, you can only set the fan speed to low or high. Even on the low speed, it was quite loud. Hubby - who wears hearing aids during the day - said he had a terrible night's sleep as a result of the loud fan noise. I recommend ear plugs! The only way to stop the fan is to turn off the heat - not something you want to do for very long in February. I would recommend a room on the river side, as George Street is a very busy main street of Peterborough. Other negative is that there is no breakfast included, something which the other 3 major chains offer. It is also the more expensive option of them all. The location is good though, and you can walk uptown quite easily, and the walk along the river is pretty.
