I had a horrible stay. From the professionalism with the front desk clerks. A Front Desk Clerk told me that I have to give her an extra $50 to stay another day, but then the next day a different employee informed me that I don't have to. The ladies at the front desk are not friendly at all, nor informative. No free breakfast, no free parking $30 parking for a day. There were so many rules and regulations that the third party booker did not inform me about before booking.
The hotel was clean and in a great location, however there was one thing that really bothered me. The parking was in a building next to the hotel and you had to cross over a back alley to enter the hotel from the parking garage. Every time I came or went, the back door to the hotel was ajar. I made a point of closing it so that you would need your key card to enter but no matter the next time it was ajar again. Anyone could enter through that door and make their way to the elevators without being seen by the front desk. Also I never saw any security around. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk. They said that they would check it out straight away. I was there for 5 nights due to a family members hospitalization in the area and the problem was never resolved during that time. While the hotel was nice. I won’t be back since I did not feel safe.
Parking garage was a bit further away than I’d liked. If I were alone I would have been very uncomfortable with it. We were there at Christmas and it wasn’t decorated. The rooms were clean. The hotel looked clean. Sanitizing stations throughout. We never saw another person in the hotel. No one on our floor. I think they should have offered an upgraded room since they were empty. But, with that being said the sty was comfortable.
When we checked in Victor the night manager stated our room was looking over the parking lot. He said you were going to be with us for a few days how about a Harborview. He gave us an upgrade for free and took care of us. If that isn’t customer service I don’t know what it is. We were treated like family. This An older hotel that has been renovated. There is a food service area in the lobby even with COVID-19 we were still able to get a cappuccino and a beautiful breakfast sandwich. The lady inside food service area was fantastic I don’t know what her name was but she was very sweet.

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff needs to be more attentive to their guest. I didn’t feel any type of urgency when guest needs to be met. For example upon check-in I waited a half hour to check in because an the hotel employee could not resolve a simply issue with a guest. During my check-in my identification was checked twice. Why? Because the employee forgot she checked it ten seconds before. It was a bit annoying. Then another employee as I walked to destination didn’t even hold the door for me as was walking toward the space she was entering. I thought that was pretty rude. I know that this may seem like minor issue but customer service and courtesy goes a long way especially in the hotel business. I most likely wouldn’t recommend this hotel because of this.
The towels in the room were dirty, stained with someone’s makeup. There was hair on the bathroom floor next to the toilet (not from someone’s head). The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the tv kept cutting from color to black and white. Definitely wouldn’t go back there.
The stay was terrible. Front desk at night is always empty or just one person is working. We called 10 times at 2am but no one answered. Finally we had to walk down to the front desk to see only one person there and requested extra comforter and pillow. After a wait of 30 mins, it was finally brought and guess who got it ? The same front desk guy as apparently he was the only one! You don't expect and can never expect this from a 5 star rated property.
They charged me with a smoking fee for $300. No evidence other than the person next door claimed to smell smoke, and I dont smoke!
My overall stay was really good.The Harbor view I'd hoped for wasn't there because of the floor my room was on (I suppose). I am sure if I'd asked to be moved to a higher floor they would've obliged but I didn't feel like moving my belongings.The staff is very courteous and accommodating.Nice hotel, I'd definitely stay there again, when visiting they area. 5 stars to the front desk for being very responsible about disruptive guests.
